status. EEMC has the chartered purpose of educating the public about environmental issues -- to increase 

awareness and understanding of environmental matters -- by producing and distributing television programs.

Established in 1991, EEMC has produced, through EnviroVideo, a project of EEMC, now hundreds of TV programs, including interview and news shows, specials and documentaries about vital environmental and social justice issues.

 

Enviro Close-Up with Karl Grossman is a series of half-hour TV interview shows hosted by Karl Grossman, a veteran investigative journalist and full professor of journalism at the State University of New York. Through informative discussion Enviro Close-Up with Karl Grossman explores issues such as global warming; safe, clean renewable energy; sustainability; nuclear proliferation; environmental justice; green technology; biodiversity; environmental pollution and its effect on human health.

 

EnviroVideo's award-winning documentaries and its television series, Enviro Close-Up with Karl Grossman, have been broadcast regularly since 2002 on Free Speech TV, a non-commercial, independent television network. Free Speech TV reaches 40 million homes across the U.S. on nearly 200 cable TV systems in in 40 states and on the Dish and DirecTV satellite networks, and our programs are simulcast on FreeSpeech.org website providing global exposure. FSTV is also streamed live world-wide on the internet.

Karl is program director for EnviroVideo and host of the TV interview series Enviro Close-Up with Karl Grossman, seen on Free Speech TV since 2002.

 

An investigative journalist who specializes in energy and the environment, a long-time TV newsperson, news anchor, and he is a full professor of journalism at the State University of New York Old Westbury.  Also he is an associate of the media watch group Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR).

 

Video documentaries he has written and hosted for EnviroVideo include Nukes In Space: The Nuclearization and Weaponization of the Heavens, Nukes In Space 2: Unacceptable Risks, Three Mile Island Revisited and The Push To Revive Nuclear Power, all of which have received video festival awards. His books include The Wrong Stuff: The Space Program's Nuclear Threat To Our Planet, Cover Up: What You Are Not Supposed To Know About Nuclear Power, and Power Crazy. These and his latest book, Weapons In Space, are available from Amazon.com.

Journalism by Grossman on the nuclearization and weaponization of space has been cited six times on Project Censored's annual lists of the ten most "under-reported," "best-censored" stories. Grossman is the recipient of the George Polk, Generoso Pope, Leon Goodman, James Aronson and John Peter Zenger Awards.

Frank, the recipient of awards for environmental television, was long producer and director at Meet the Farmer TV. Meet the Farmer programs are at https://mellipro.wixsite.com/meet-the-farmer-tv Documentaries he has produced include Crimes Against the Future.  He is a New York City-based TV veteran.

Steve Jambeck
Executive Producer

Steve directs the TV interview series, Enviro Close-Up with Karl Grossman, seen regularly on Free Speech TV.

Steve has over 25 years of network and independent TV production experience.  He is the recipient of a Primetime Emmy Award and The Monitor Award.  Steve has co-produced, directed and shot five TV documentary features for Envision Environmental Media Center, that have won the Gold Award at the WorldFest-Houston International Film and Video Festival and the First Prize for Documentaries at the Long Island Film Festival. 

Joan Flynn
Executive Producer

Joan has produced the TV interview show series, Enviro Close-Up with Karl Grossman.

Joan has worked as an independent TV producer since 1992. She co-produced five TV documentary features for Envision Environmental Media Center that won two first prize and two second prize film festival awards. She is also a media consultant to the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.
